Ubuntu Project

A new deal for young people.

refer a young person

The Spark2Life Ubuntu Project is a part of the Mayor of London’s New Deal for Young People project, which aims to ensure that all young people in need have access to a personal mentor and all young Londoners have access to quality local youth activities by 2024.

The Ubuntu Project supports and serves young people, young adults and youth organisations in the London boroughs of Waltham Forest, Newham, Barking & Dagenham, Lewisham, Hackney and Greenwich and it has three strands:

  1. Delivering supported mentoring to young people and young adults
  2. Training up members of the local communities to be Community mentors who then provide mentoring to young people in secondary schools
  3. Supporting local youth organisations to upskill their mentors

If you would like to refer a young person or young adult for supported mentoring and they are residents of one of the four key boroughs, please send a referral form using the link below.
