The Music & Mentoring Project

The Music & Mentoring Project

The Music Project aims to empower, up-skill and raise the aspirations of secondary school students who are struggling academically in school and have been involved in or are at risk of being exposed to criminal activity. Using students’ interest in music as the primary focus, they participate in a 6-week introduction to music production course where they learn how to compose music using Logic Pro X software.

In addition to this, students participate in a range of group mentoring sessions on topics, which challenge their mindset and support their personal development.

Each session is AQA accredited and if students successfully complete the sessions, they can receive up to 8 AQA accreditations.

We work in partnership with music specialists Logan Bro’s, who facilitate the sessions.  The course has been designed using their expertise in music combined with our experience in mentoring.

The Music Project can be delivered in secondary schools and secondary Pupil Referral Units.
